Height

Women shorter than 5 feet are more likely to have a small pelvis, which may make movement of the fetus through the pelvis and vagina (birth canal) difficult during labor. For example, the fetus's shoulder is more likely to lodge against the pubic bone. This complication is called shoulder dystocia . Also, short women are more likely to have preterm labor and a baby who are born underweight.

Reproductive abnormalities

Structural abnormalities in the uterus or cervix increase the risk of the following:
  • A difficult labor
  • A miscarriage
  • A fetus on an abnormal position 
  • Need for a  cesarean delivery
  • Structural abnormalities include a double uterus, fibroids in the uterus, and a weak (incompetent) cervix  that tends to open (dilate) as the fetus grows.

Social Characteristics

Being unmarried or in a lower socioeconomic group increases the risk of problems during pregnancy. The reason these characteristics increase risk is unclear but is probably related to other characteristics that are more common among these women. For example, these women may be more likely to smoke and less likely to consume a healthy diet and to obtain appropriate medical care

All reproductive abnormalities happened due to in sufficient water.   Drink sufficient water before conceive and till delivery.


My advise
1....  The couple must maintain good health before conceiving.
2...    Due to over tensions or other during pregnancy hypertension may be developed which causes birth defects
3....   Preterm labor also cause of defective births
4...    Anemia before conceiving also cause of defective births
5...    Gestational diabetes developed during pregnancy if not controlled may cause defective births
6....   Woman age above 35 years also cause of defective child births
7...    I advise every couple to maintain positive relations, happy and follow healthy habits.
8...    Before conceiving every woman should maintain ideal weight other wise their child will be defective  i.e. overweight  or low weight
9...   When a woman is less than 4 feet it may cause birth defects
