When your diet lacks crucial nutrients, your body will not be able to make the right amount of chemicals. This affects brain chemistry and can lead to depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders.
Your brain relies on neurotransmitters, or electrical signals that fire in the brain to carry out actions. When your body doesn’t get enough proteins, then the neurotransmitters don’t function as well. This can affect body regulators like seratonin, which affects mood.
The typical diet of an American is rich in fat. It is thought that certain fats, including saturated fats, contribute to mood disorders by hindering neurotransmitter activity. Avoid refined, processed, and canned foods to work towards boosting your mood and decreasing chance of depression.
How to improve health: Eat foods rich in protein, such as eggs, poultry, fish, soy, and beans.

4. Improved skin

High-fat foods like the ones found in Western diets can lead to higher production of skin oils. The skin oils can clog pores. As a result, you may get mottled skin, pimples, and more.
Instead of getting rid of skin oils, you need to improve skin oils. Get rid of higher fat content foods and push good alternatives.
How to improve health: Switch to water and teas and cut out all sodas. Eat healthy food such as fruits and vegetables. Also use vitamin supplements, such as Vitamin D3 and Omega 3 capsules, to improve your skin nutrients.
