Type-1 Diabetes in Children
The exact cause of type 1 diabetes is unknown. Scientists do know that in most people with type 1 diabetes the body's own immune system — which normally fights harmful bacteria and viruses — mistakenly destroys the insulin-producing (islet) cells in the pancreas.
Dangerous sugar level in bloodstream
In type 1 diabetes, none of this occurs because there's no or very little insulin to let glucose into the cells. So instead of being transported into your child's cells, sugar builds up in your child's bloodstream, where it can cause life-threatening complications.
My research: I found Type 1 diabetes in children whose parents are not taken Healthy food besides who eat high levels of sugar contents during pregnancy and before pregnancy...I advise every couple who wants to give birth to Healthy child should follow healthy habits before and after pregnancy to give birth to Healthy child

My advise
1... Type 1 Diabetes occurs when your immune system, the body’s system for fighting infection, attacks and destroys the insulin-producing beta cells of the pancreas. Scientists think type 1 diabetes is caused by genes and environmental factors, such as viruses, that might trigger the disease.
2....    Type 2 diabetes—the most common form of diabetes—is caused by several factors, including lifestyle factors and genes.
3....    Genes and family history:::As in type 1 diabetes, certain genes may make you more likely to develop type 2 diabetes. The disease tends to run in families and occurs more often in these racial/ethnic groups:
  • African Americans
  • Alaska Natives
  • American Indians
  • Asian Americans
  • Hispanics/Latinos
  • Native Hawaiians
  • Pacific Islanders
4....    There are different types of diabetes. The most common in children is type 1 diabetes, also called juvenile diabetes. This is an autoimmune disease where the body's immune system destroys cells in the pancreas that produce insulin. ... Very rarely, babies are born with diabetes.
5...    It is important to know it is not your fault that you have type 1 diabetes – it is not caused by poor diet or an unhealthy lifestyle. In fact, it isn't caused by anything that you did or didn't do, and there was nothing you could have done to prevent it.
6....  We are also unsure about whether type 1 diabetes is hereditary or not. While 90 per cent of people who develop type 1 diabetes have no relative with the condition, genetic factors can pre-dispose people to developing type 1 diabetes.
7..... Certain gene markers are associated with type 1 diabetes risk. A child born with these will have the same risk of developing type 1 diabetes as a child with siblings with type 1 diabetes. However, having the marker alone is not enough to cause someone to develop type 1 diabetes – it is thought that an additional trigger causes type 1 diabetes to develop.
8...   Woman with type 1 diabetes must take care of her food and her life style before conceiving and continue till delivery to have healthy child..  She must avoid processed food, junk food  etc....
9......Other woman should follow healthy food to avoid/minimize  gestational diabetes.
